In March 2017 I started working as art director of YUMENIKKI -DREAM DIARY-, developed by Active Gaming Media and published by Kadokawa.
These are some early concepts from when the game mechanics and style wasn't yet stablished.
This is where YUMENIKKI -DREAM DIARY- started. This illustration was used to give Kadokawa an idea of how the game could look like based on the kind of game they wanted.
My original idea was to show distorted versions of what could have been Madotsuki's surroundings.
In order to do that I took many photo footage of residential Japanese areas and started working from there.
Since many things changed during the development of the game some scenarios couldn't make it to the final version.
